Clark Nova - Host
Heres a band that you may not hear of nationally but you should stop and take a listen to. I saw these guys on Much Music and was caught by the ear. I cant really find someone to compare them to other to say they sound like a cross between Creed and Days of the new. They have that harder new sound with a great musicality. I really liked the song Re- stain which is track 10 on the cd. I would say buy this album and check it out if you have the Creed cd worn out but are looking for more!
Megadeth - World Needs A Hero
Megadeth. These guys just keep rollin out the albums and the music is still great! I really enjoyed this album. They have a song on here Recipe for hate which reminds me of the hello me , meet the real me of past. They also have a songReturn To Hangar which brings flashbacks of the yesteryear. Ive always been a big fan of Megadeth and maybe Im a little biased in my judgement , but I say rush out and buy !
New Found Glory - Self Titled
New Found Glory is a new , young band that is getting a lot of attention. I really grabbed ahold of the song Hit Or Miss and expected a lot nore of this cd. This is in my opinion one of those slapped together bands to sell another album, and look apealing to the kids like some of the boybands , but a little harder. I found this the only song on the entire cd that even made my unrelax long enough to lift my finger and play it over.
If you like this song look for a single!
Static X - Machine
This is one album Ive been long awaiting! I played their last cd soooo many times I wore the face off of the cd. These guys just got a sound like noone else. If your anything like me and have a descent stereo or like a little thump in the car these guys have that hard driving sound that bumps! I listen to this thing constantly and probably will wear this cd out too.
GO OUT and pick this thing up!
Tantric - Self Titled
What a name huh? one of the later Hindu or Buddhist scriptures dealing especially with techniques and rituals including meditative and sexual practices; also : the rituals or practices outlined in the tantra
These guys must have really thought on this name? Well anyhow, this album is fairly descent. I found a lot of acoustically sounding work here. I really dug Breakdown , and it found its way onto a major motion picture soundtrack. I thought these songs seemed to have a lot of deep emotional feeling to them. These songs were great when you want to relax or just chill!
From Zero - One Nation Under
Heres another new band that you may not have heard of yet. Yet being the key word here. I thought these guys had a sound very similar to Living Colour. The vocals even have a very similar sound. I was pretty impressed with this album and diffinately would have to tell you to give it a try! |
